Steamboat Springs - 2011 

 

We went on a ski trip this past January to Steamboat Springs, CO.  We had such a blast!  The kids were skiing ALL over the mountain - they actually went to the top top of the mountain and skied some blues.  How is this possible?  I am such a chicken and had my own little run the kids kindly renamed it  "Momma's Slope" since I just stayed on that one the entire time....

We went ice skating.  Okay, so we have ice skated before, but have always just asked for our shoe sizes with no problem.  Who knew you had an option for figure skating or hockey??  Skates are skates are skates right??

One of the most amazing things about our trip was the day trip Dog Sledding.  I would have never thought this was something I would enjoy - but it was AMAZING!  Branagan and I had a sled to ourselves with Robert and Caleb following behind in their own sled.  We went on a 12 mile route around the mountains.  Since we were the first sled it seemed like we were the only 2 people out there alone with our 7 dogs.  Branagan is a bit afraid of bigger dogs but by the end she knew them all by name and was ready to bring them all home with us.  I am ready to go back and do it again!!

I can monogram and embroider just about anything now!  I am really ready now!!

This is a great bag to carry around for the fall!  It is large enough to tote everything around and still look really cute while doing it!!



Car Caddies/ Organizers

This is a great organizer for the car!  Has tons of pockets for pens, phone, and tons of other goodies.

It has a trash bag holder to make cleanup a breeze!  The buckle strap holds the caddy in place without the chance of it sliding around. 

This is a great idea for those trying to get organized before the hectic season starts!

 

Perfect Ruffle Bags for the Girls!!

These are great little bags for the girls to show off their style.  Of course Branagan is loving cheerleading, so we went with the perfect pink cheer fabric and some great bright turquoise and lime green.  I can definitely change up the fabric and colors - just pick your poison!

And I am even getting orders from the younger ladies!  I just love this one!!!

Babies Babies Babies....

So, I co-hosted a baby shower for one of my favorite people this past weekend and I can now finally post some the things I made for her - I was afraid she would peek here and would know before hand....





This is the most precious baby blanket in all the world!!!  It has the gathered sashing to give the baby something to feel and play with and gives the new mommy something beautiful to look at!  I absolutely love this and love making it!  Let me know if you know the perfect new mommy that is in need of this blanket! 

This is the cutest little clutch to take on a quick run to the store or just a quick run around town.  The clutch will hold the changing pad, the small wipes and a couple of diapers.  It has a metal magnetic snap to hold everything in, with a detachable wristlet strap to make it easy to carry.  It includes a matching changing pad that fits perfectly into the clutch.  This is a must for the mommy on the go!!

T- Shirt Quilts

Okay Okay it has been a while since my last post....I have been sooo busy with a new job, the kids school starting, football, cheerleading, homework, need I say more?!?!?!
I have been doing some sewing - I have made several bags since the last post but as soon as I make them they are gone - I MUST get better at taking a picture or 2 before I ship them off...

I also have been making t-shirt quilts.  My sister-in-law needed one for a charity auction in Oklahoma City and it has taken off.  They are really fun to make and a great way to showcase those special t-shirts that you really shouldn't be wearing any longer.  (I think I have a few my husband would prefer me not to wear any more as well!) 

Take a look at this one as an idea.  If you have some favorite shirts you would like to keep and maybe still cozy up with on occasion, let me know!  I can help determine background colors if you need it!  Prices will depend on quilt size and fabrics required.  I really do love these!

I LOVE this bag!!

I made the absolutely cutest bag ever this weekend!!! It is the Maui bag.  The flower just adds a little flair to your bag to certainly turn a few heads.  You can take this little ditty out to the lake or just out and about.  It is super sturdy to be able to carry your heavy loads and still look adorable!  It has a great zippered pocket inside for your phone or keys plus tons of room for everything else.

I have made this one in red, black and white but it can be made in any colors you want!  Hope you like it as much as I do!!!
